Hey Guys!

first of all, Sorry for not posting an update on here for a while! We’ve been really busy promoting the album. That is all over for a few months now! We are taking a break from gigging for a few months to write our 2nd album.

We have plenty of great ideas for next album and we have a sound in mind. We want to make this album faster, heavier and better than the previous one. We’re feeling great about the material we have already written for it and have plenty of ideas for future songs as well.

We’re aiming to start recording the album at the start of April and we’ll also be starting gigging again then as well so make sure you like us on facebook to keep up to date with everything!

September Update

Its September so we all have our new pencil cases and lunch boxes. Rob has a Power Rangers one. There is lots of Someone Else news to tell you about. I’ll start with gigs. We are have a load of new gigs on the gigs page including one in Chester, a beer festival and a couple of home town shows at the 2 best venues in shropshire! There are more to come and we’re hoping to play as many different places in the uk as we can!

We’ve started writing new material and we’re so happy with it that we’re already talking about a second album. The new stuff is much faster and has much more of a mature punk sound. Dan and Midi are both writing songs at the moment then we are working on them as a band at our practise room. We’ve already finished 4 songs and are half way through a few more. We’ll be playing some at our next gigs.

Post Album Launch Update

Hi Guys!

Its time for a quick update on how things have been going since our last update.  Since our amazing album launch party, we have played our first gig in Wrexham for quite some time. The gig didn’t get off to the greatest of starts. After setting up all our gear the promoter was having problems with the venue and it wasn’t looking good for a while!

Thanks to some quick thinking from the promoter and some help from the crowd, we moved the entire gig to a different venue.

Despite all of the problems at the start, it was an awesome night and we met some great new people as well as rocking out with our loyal fans.

A Huge thanks to everyone that came from shrewsbury to support us. It was great to see some familiar faces in the crowd!

Next, The album. A big thank you to everyone that has brought our album so far. The sales have been much bigger than we ever expected! We’re also very pleased to have received so many positive comments back about the album. Its great to know all our hard work has paid off and that you’re enjoying the album. It really means the world to us.

“To The Stage” OUT NOW

We’re very pleased to announce that our album has now officially been released! You can order it online from our website or you can pick it up at any of our gigs.

You should be able to see a small music player on the side of every page of our website. If you click play right now you will be able to listen to the track “Someone Else” from our new album, “To The Stage“.

On Friday, we celebrated the release of ‘To The Stage’ by playing a gig at the Old Post Office in Shrewsbury. The night was amazing and we would like to take this opportunity to thank every one that came down and supported us. You guys were amazing!

We are sorry to the people that didn’t manage to get in, unfortunately we reached capacity by 8 o’clock! We are playing another Shrewsbury gig at the Yorkshire House on May 31st so hopefully if you didn’t make the Album launch you we’ll see you at this one!

We have also been booked for a last minute gig in Wrexham with our good friends in AMFX at the Midnight Lounge. See our gigs page for more info!

“To The Stage” Guest Vocalist Revealed

We can finally break our silence and announce the final piece of news about our debut album
“To The Stage“.

As you may already know, We have re recorded our classic fan favorite song “Not Much Time” for the album. But what you didn’t know is that the new, definitive album version features guest vocals from Bremerton Washington’s punk rock legend “Mike Herrera” from the bands “MXPX” and “Tumbledown”.

This is a dream come true for the guys, especially Dan who said “I still can’t believe that one of my heroes is singing on one of my songs.“

The album is officially released on Friday 13th May when the guys will be playing the whole album for the first time ever at their album launch show at the OPO in Shrewsbury.

Band Update

Monday 28th February
So I am happy to report that we have finished the recording process for our album. We are currently working hard on getting the album artwork ready for release as well as a new shirt design, an iphone app, a bigger better someone else live show, a new website and loads of other things…

Last night, we received a first draft mix of the album. We are still waiting on 1 track which our producer, Andy hopes to finish today. The next thing to do is that we have to listen to it closely and make sure there are no mistakes or things we want to change in it.

So far we are all loving it! there are a few very minor tweaks to be made but overall its sounding amazing! I really can’t wait for you to hear it!

I think the album really captures how much fun we had making it and how much fun we have playing live.

Album Update

ok guys, Just a very quick update for you to let you know the latest on our album.

We have just spent another 2 days in the studio working on our debut album. We have now finished all of the bass parts and its sounding awesome.

Before our next studio days in November, our producer Andy is going to finish off mixing the Guitars and Bass then we’re ready to start the vocals! The album is already starting to sound really promising but when we start adding vocals we will really start to see what its going to sound like when its finished.

We think we have finally decided on an album title but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait a little longer to find out what it is….

October Updates

Ok… We’ve promised this before but we are actually going to start updating the website on a regular basis this time! The home page has a fancy admin system now so that all the band members can update the site quickly which should help!

Since the last update a lot has happened with the band, We’ve played some awesome shows including one last night at the Yorkshire House in our home town of Shrewsbury. It was one of the best shows we’ve played in a while and although me and mid couldn’t drink, Dan drank enough for the 3 of us!

We’ve also been hard at work recording our debut album. Our 12 track album is currently untitled but we’re working on that! We’ve already recorded the drums and guitars and we’re starting work on the bass parts on Sunday.

We’ve also made our first music video. The video was filmed and directed by a good friend of the band called Chris Jones

Our next gig is a big one. We’re playing the official reopening of the Vaults in Shrewsbury. Its an awesome local venue and the home of some of the best gigs we’ve ever played. (and some of the best nights out). There is an event for it on facebook with all the details so please check it out!

Someone Else Re Launch

Thursday 4th March

Someone are back baby! Today we have lots of new things to tell you about and show you! First things first. We have a brand new website, myspace and twitter which you can check out by going to the following links:

The most important news though is that we have officially announced Middie as our new bassist. After auditioning loads of really awesome guys and plenty of discussion between us we decided on David Middleton. Both Dan and Phill have been friends with Middie for a long time and his enthusiasm for the band coupled with his skill on bass meant that he was the perfect choice! Out first band practise is tonight so we’ll keep you posted on how that goes!

We are booking gigs as we speak but we have already announced a couple so check out the gigs page on the web site. Our very first gig will be at the Vaults for Sounds to Consume which is perfect as Ollie can always guarantee an awesome night.

We have uploaded the first of a series of new tracks to the Myspace and Facebook pages. ‘Not Much Time’ is a classic Someone Else track that our fans and friends will know but unless you have brought a copy of the EP you probably wont have heard the proper version.

Last but very not least….The best news I have to tell you…. I can’t even believe I am writing it but we will be recording our debut album in America with Punk Rock LEGEND Mike Herrera from MxPx. We’ll be aiming to start recording in November of this year and have already spoken to a couple of labels about an official release.

We are currently booking gigs all over the country including private parties so please get in touch if you wish to book someone or can recommend a venue or promoter.
